The Poison Clan was a member of the Heavenly Demon Divine Cult's Six Clans. It was later destroyed after Cheon Yeo Woon killing their Clan Leader, Baek Oh and when their forces were annihilated trying to ambush the Wise/Dark Clan.
History[]
The Poison Clan, once known as the Baek Family, was established in the era of the New Murim several decades after the Great Disaster that ended the Old Murim era.
Its founder and greatest leader was Baek Yu, who was one of the few in history to transcend the Poison Master realm, achieving the legendary Ten Thousand Poison Body, the highest level in the world of poison-based martial arts. He would elevate the Baek Family into a new powerhouse, effectively ending the monopoly of the Guyang Family and the Sichuan Tang Clan as the world's foremost poison masters.
The clan became one of the core families within the Heaven-Earth Society, one of the three major factions of their era. Baek Yu would also invent the Black Dragon Medicine Ball, going through countless trials and errors before perfecting it. The medicine increasing qi through absorbing the power in a stable condition rather than obtain it in large amounts. After Baek Yu's passing, his second son, Baek Sa-ha, succeeded him as leader.
It was with great difficulty that Baek Sa-ha mastered his father's martial art, the Wave Demon Poison Scripture, a feat accomplished only with guidance from "Mok Gyeong-woon". Baek Sa-ha later accepted the future Heavenly Demon as his official disciple, imparting to him the family's most profound poison arts. Ultimately, Baek Sa-ha led his clan to side with the Heavenly Demon during his revolution, thus becoming one of the founding pillars of the Heavenly Demon Divine Cult.
Nano Machine[]
Due to the actions of the Blade God, the clan became enemies of Cheon Yeo Woon in the third timeline, which ultimately led to their downfall. The main branch of the family was wiped out, and the clan was officially disbanded. The only known survivor was the Demonic Doctor, the head physician responsible for the Heavenly Demon Divine Cult's Medical Hall. Thus, while the bloodline of Baek Sa-ha endured, their legacy as the Poison Clan was destroyed.

- Considering that one of their ancestors, Baek Sa-ha, was close to Cheon Ma, the events in the third timeline are somewhat of a bitter and regrettable end.
