Mun Ran-Yeong is the 1st Great Elder of the Heavenly Demon Divine Cult. 200 years ago, she was tasked to protect the Qilin's core and blood until the Cult could claim them in the future within the Imperial Royal Shrine. She would be relieved of her duties and return to the Demonic Cult under the reign of Cheon Yeo Woon, the 24th leader of the cult and Second Heavenly Demon.
Appearance[]
After drinking the blood of Flame Qilin, Ran-Yeong regained her youth and manifested red scales all over her body as a side effect. Her once black hair turned crimson red hair and she gained an otherworldly voluptuous body with a beautiful face, which can seduce any man. She can be regarded as one of the greatest beauties in the empire and later the murim.
History[]
Mun Ran-Yeong was once the Sect Leader of the Dark Dragon Palm Clan, a subordinate faction of the prestigious Heavenly Demon Divine Cult. Cheon In-kyung, the Lord of the Demonic Cult and his followers succeeded in hunting the Flame Qilin but were unable to obtain its core or blood due to its extraordinarily high temperature. As per an agreement with the Imperial Palace, twelve chosen individuals from the Demonic Cult were tasked with becoming the Guardians of the Qilin's treasure.
Unfortunately, all of them perished after consuming its blood, except for Mun Ran-Yeong. She was the sole survivor, who, after ingesting the Qilin's blood, regained her youth and had her lifespan extended. However, she still failed to secure the Qilin's core. Mun Ran-Yeong’s existence was kept a secret within the Imperial family, with her being referred to as the hidden power of the Imperial Palace. For 200 years, she suffered from depression and loneliness and remained ignorant about the outside world.
Nano Machine[]
Her descendants become allies of the current Lord of the Demonic Cult, Cheon Yeo Woon. Later, the Blood Master from the Blade God Six Martial Clan had a conflict with Cheon Yeo Woon and Hu Bong at the chamber where Mun Ran-Yeong guarded the treasure. Although Blood Master was killed, Hu Bong's throat was slashed. To save him, Mun Ran-Yeong feeds him with the blood of Qilin. Due to Hu Bong consuming the blood of the Imugi previously in the academy, it prevented the explosion of flame qi so Mun Ran-Yeong didn't need to stabilize it. It also absorbs some of Mun Ran-Yeong's flame qi, causing him to ascend to peak superior level and is able to retain his human form while gaining fire manipulation powers just like her. Cheon Yeo Woon successfully absorbs the core of the Qilin and enters the Divine Master Level. Mun Ran-Yeong reveals herself to be a past generation member of the Demonic cult and swears allegiance to Cheon Yeo Woon, who relieves her of her current duties and appoints her as the first Grand Elder of the Cult. Later, she leaves the imperial palace and returns to the Demonic Cult.
Descent of the Demon God[]
At some point of time, after Cheon Yeo Woon disappeared from his era, Mun Ran-Yeong married Hu Bong. To rescue Cheon Yeo Woon, Mun Ran-Yeong, Hu Bong, and Baek Gi decided to undergo cryogenic hibernation from the 3rd Grand Elder Dan Jucheon. Hu Bong was buried in Huangshi city, Mun Ran-Yeong in Datong, and Baek Gi in Zhumadian. They remained undisturbed for a thousand years. In the modern era, she is reunited with Hu Bong and Cheon Yeo Woon.
