Great Ming Empire also known as Daemyeong Empire is the Ming Dynasty officially (大明 Great Ming). Also known as the Empire or Imperial Palace
History[]
About two hundred and ten years ago, the last Emperor of the Yuan Dynasty passed away, and the Empire was torn into ten small nations, leading to a period of chaos and disorder. The endless war had brought about the total devastation of the Empire, leading to its Dark Ages. But among those times, a hero has risen who came from the Sun Dynasty, which is amongst the existing ten nations and has been the most influential and powerful. A man named Zhu Won-myeong, who was an undefeated high-ranking general who had fought in the war against the barbarians of the North to protect his nation during the times of war was considered a hero, that even the people of Murim came to admire him[1].
Even though he was the General Commander and a brilliant strategist, he was aware that developing the power to unite the nations wouldn't be simple or easy to do. However, he had made the decision to use thegood relationship he had built with the warriors of Wulin to seek them for assistance after realizing the extent of the people's suffering. Under his leadership, the soldiers from all throughout the country came together and swiftly defeated the enemy, driving out the foreign invaders. The 10 nations had been fully united again in barely 10 years by the Sun Dynasty and waerenamed the Great Ming Empire by the 1st Emperor[1].
Imperial Palace Organization[]
In the Ming Empire, there were said to be four groups of well-trained martial arts users:
- Imperial Guards: The Imperial Guards were a military group entrusted by the Emperor himself. They had the leader, Supreme Commander, and two commanders: the Northern and Southern Commander. These commanders were high-ranking officials of the Imperial Palace. Both of the commanders’ power was famous even within Yulin. It is also known as the Golden Guards/Golden Council. These guards are given complete independent jurisdiction. So, they are given the authority to arrest, detain, and even carry out an execution regardless of the status. Most of its members are eunuchs.
- East Spear (incorrectly translated as Alumni):These eunuchs were one of strongest organizations along with Imperial Guards within the Imperial Palace. All of these eunuchs learned martial arts, with their leader at the superior master level.
- West Spear
- Cardinal Spear
- Imperial Palace Guardians: The hidden power of the Imperial Palace. They are entirely made up of the court ladies, who can wield flames and can regenerate wounds (but not amputated limbs).
The source of the imperial palace's power was the pool of Qilin's blood that was located underground and protected by the Shrine Guardian, Mun Ran-Yeong, as per the agreement between the imperial palace and the Heavenly Demon Divine Cult. The emperor himself was protected by the True Guardian, Lim Gyu-Hwa, a long-lived eunuch and martial master who was formerly one of the Five Strongest. However, Cheon Yeo Woon after claimed the Qilin's core and relieved Mun Ran-Yeong of her palace duties, appointing her as the Grand Elder for their cult. He would kill Lim Gyu-Hwa in a one on one duel in testing his newfound strength and Invisible Sword. With the loss of both the core and Guardian, the imperial palace was now at the mercy of the Demonic Cult.
