Chae Tak-Im is from the West Gate Clan of Heavenly Demon Divine Cult and later joined Cheon Yeo Woon's forces before the third test of the Demonic Academy and became a member of the Six Swords.

He was a very passionate cultist and has the vision of bringing change to the Cult due to dissatisfaction about the Six Clans system.
Plot[]
He visited Cheon Yeo Woon's dormitory to speak to him about joining his forces. He came to the group along with Woo So-Jung. He joined due to his dissatisfaction as well after knowing Yeo Woon's ambition to overthrow the Six Clans that is busy and greedy with the current system of power struggle in the cult.
Due to the ignited competition between members about Ko Wang-Hur's statement about being the first sword, He was the one who instigated Cheon Yeo Woon about what to do in order to organize the cadets. Thus, leading to competition for the Six Swords position wherein He ranked 4th.
